Research Focus
We believe that AI technology, spearheaded by LLMs, will usher in three major paradigm shifts across the entire computing industry:
I.) The Computing Paradigm: A shift from the classic "Turing-von Neumann architecture"—traditionally CPU-centric, focused on structured data and serial processing—to a "Neural Network architecture" that is GPU-centric, oriented around natural language and visual data, and predominantly parallel.
II.) The Development Paradigm: An evolution from traditional, imperative programming by humans to an intelligent development paradigm dominated by automated code generation, driven by LLMs. This transformation will encompass every facet of development: requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, code review, refactoring, debugging, and DevOps.
III.) The Interaction Paradigm: The human-computer interface has always been a primary force of change in computing: from the Console User Interface (CUI) to the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the Touch User Interface (TUI). The Language User Interface (LUI) introduced by LLMs will unlock the potential of computing for a much broader swathe of humanity, fundamentally reshaping the landscape of applications.
